I stayed for one night. The evening meal was excellent. It was quality food, cooked well and at a reasonable price. Breakfast was the same. The room was quiet and very clean and comfortable.Definately my first choice should I visit Tamworth again.

Excellent Accomodation. We would thoroughly recommend this hotel, we stayed in a family room with two double beds and the room was perfect for us. Lovely breakfast and staff were very friendly and helpful

Needed an overnight stop for a visit 10 mins away to Thomas Land - and a treat experience for 5yr grandson. Easy to find, welcome greeting warm and friendly, excellent room, didn't use dining facilities but breakfast was good. Grandson enjoyed his big bed and the big TV

Restaurant review, December 2010

Just a quick note to thank you very much for the lovely food and efficient service we enjoyed this lunch time.
Everyone said how much they had enjoyed their meal and are already talking about booking up for next year!
Thank you too for accommodating the omission from our list and our various dietary requirements

Seasons Greetings

Kind regards, Jo, Tamworth Council

Room was as shown in the picture and very comfortable. Was able to order food from the restaurant and eat in the room, which was very nice and reasonably priced, breakfast was very good... Car park was to small for company van, but public car park very close and free between 18:00 and 08:00 which was ideal.

Lovely hotel
My wife, grandson aged 3 and myself stayed at this lovely hotel for one night prior to visiting Drayton Manor. We found the location excellent as it was very close to the motorway and also only 10 mins away from the theme park. Our room was a triple room, very clean and comfortable with added little luxuries, we were made to feel very welcome and had an enjoyable meal in the restaurant on our arrival where there was also a good choice for children.

Carloe, Booking.com review, August 2010 10/10

From the moment we arrived we were made to feel special, nothing was too much trouble, the staff could not do enough to please. The room was kept really clean, even under furniture and behind, the breakfast was delicious and so much choice and served hot freshly cooked not just kept warm. We booked this Hotel for 9 nights but enjoyed our stay so much we booked an extra night, 10 in all. Nearly forgot to mention the food was amazing so beautifully cooked and served hot very good value for money as a special rate during the week days.
My husband and I were really pleased with everything about the hotel but we were so pleased with the helpful people who worked there. This is a family run Hotel so I guess it makes a difference, they certainly made our holiday and we could not find anything to complain about

"Lovely interesting old building very handy for the centre of town. Staff really helpful and friendly. Room clean and nicely decorated we really enjoyed our stay. The best bit of all was the breakfast, it was really tasty and good value. We opted for the full english (highly recommended) but there is a menu full of choices all served with a smile which I think is very important first thing in the morning."

Mr Thomas, Booking.com review, April 2010 10/10

"Really friendly, efficient, small family-run hotel. We really enjoyed our weekend stay - made to feel so welcome. really relaxing (not stuffy) - ideally placed for the snow-dome, Tamworth Castle and town centre (with the most fantastic dress shop called The Wardrobe!). Food here (both breakfast and dinner) is superb and they can't do enough for you. don't go here expecting a 5star luxury country house hotel or a lot of lounge/dining room/bar space but you'll get great food, a relaxing and friendly atmosphere and really warm welcome."

Mrs Beaman, thank you letter, March 2010

“Thank you to all the staff...The food was outstanding and the service carried out by friendly smiling waitresses. The Vegan food was exceptional and was voted the best vegan meal they had ever had...Thank you very much. I would not hesitate to recommend you to anyone.”

“I am writing to thank you for the time that I spent at your hotel recently. The hotel was conveniently situated for me to look around Tamworth....even though it was a ground floor room I felt very secure and with the instructions in the room as to what I should do in case of a fire I had no worries at all.....Thank you once again and please will you thank all your staff who helped to make my stay with you so pleasurable.”

"Myself, husband and two children aged 2 and 4 stayed in the Peel Hotel, in Tamworth from 1st September to 4th September, the purpose of our visit was Thomas Land in Drayton Manor, which was only about 3 miles away. The hotel was situated in the town centre, we ate in the hotel for the entire stay, as the food was so delicious, and the breakfast was just as good. We were given a large family room, which was spotless clean, and we were given a complimentary tray. Our room was cleaned every day, which was lovely to return to a freshly cleaned room... I would highly recommend the Peel Hotel, and we hope to return in the near future."

"We visited The Peel Aldergate in August to attend the Midlands Music Festival. All of the staff were extremely friendly and helpful and went out of their way to make our stay as enjoyable as possible. The hotel bedrooms were immaculately clean and the beds were extremely comfortable with fresh, crisp clean linen.
The full English breakfast provided (included in the cost of our stay) was outstanding; everything was piping hot and delicious. We also ate in the restaurant taking advantage of the evening menu and again the food was superb, all fresh vegetables and the steaks were spot on. I would definitely recommend The Peel Hotel and will certainly be booking in the future."

"The best place I have stayed in whilst working away from home, and I have worked away a lot. All of your staff are superb, and compliments to the Chef!"

Mrs Williams, July 2007

"We had a lovely stay, will definitely recommend to friends who come up to Drayton Manor and want to stay the night!"

Mr R. Lobo, May 2007

"I just wanted to drop you a note to say a huge thanks for the night we came down to celebrate Jennifer's 18th birthday. I think it says something when you can still rave on about a meal ten days after the occasion and both Alison and I thought the evening was fantastic. I don't think I could pick a favourite course as they were all unique in their own right, but I loved the fillet of steak with wild mushrooms- but then again, I do like a good steak!!"
